The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, AVMC&H Vinayaka Mission’s Puducherry Campus effectively organized a Round Table Conference on “Beyond the Genome: Perspectives on Prenatal Genetic Testing” on January 25, 2024, at the Courtyard of Marriott Chennai. This gathering brought together distinguished medical professionals and experts to delve into perspectives on prenatal genetic testing.
Dr. Anjalakshi Chandrasekar, the Founder President of the Tamilnadu Federation of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Dr. Lakshmi Devarajan, Head of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department at Billroth Hospitals, was the Guest of Honour. During her enlightening address, Dr. Anjalakshi shed light on the evolving landscape of prenatal testing, emphasizing its crucial role in identifying potential genetic anomalies during pregnancy.
