Yoga for Medical Students

yoga

A college is a place where young adults go through the developmental stage and they face many experiences. They must balance between success and failure. When this balance is missed they undergo many mental and health issues. Yoga helps college students to fight against stress, anxiety, and depression and to maintain appropriate physical health.

Students undergoing medical education face many education difficulties like difficulty with standardized tests, performance drop under time pressures, poor reading comprehension, a deficit of attention, poor time management, language problems, traumatic experiences, etc., Some students stay in hostels and they are away from family and home, cultural difference, etc., These costs mental and physical health of the students. Our college conducts various programs for students to help them to overcome these difficulties. One among the various program is the Yoga training for the students. AVMC conducts regular yoga training for students starting from 1st year and it is a part of their curricula as a branch of physiology and contemporary medicine.

All students have regular yoga sessions. Our students have participated in yoga competitions and have won prizes.
