Diet & Nutrition

Nutrition plays an integral role in the healing process, primarily when one is recovering from illness. If adequate and essential nutrition is not given during the treatment, then healing will not take place effectively. 

At AVMC we have two dedicated nutritionists who take an active part in the treatment process. The diet plan is prepared in all the wards, including ICUs and dialysis units, by the nutritionist based on the personal requirements of the patient, the illness, and the stage of the disease. The diet plan is monitored daily and suggested for modifications based on the patient’s health requirement.

For this purpose, a dedicated central kitchen is located in between the college and the hospital building. In addition, each wing has got its pantry unit, which is well-connected to all the wards of the hospital. The kitchen delivers a diet for both enteral and parenteral routes.
