Urology

The department of Urology is a fully functional department with experienced faculties and up-to-date facilities, providing optimal care to patients from all economic strata. We have an out-patient facility that attends to elective urology patients every day. Furthermore, the OPD has facilities for conducting a wide range of special urology clinics like:

• Andrology
• Urogynaecology
• Paediatric Urology
• Neurobiology
• Uro-Oncology
• Cancer screening programmes

Our hospital also has a 24×7 emergency department undertaking emergency management and urological procedures.

We have a state-of-the-art operation theatre where a vast array of procedures are performed, including endo-urology, laparoscopy and major open procedures. Our department has separate male and female general wards, private wards and a fully equipped ICU and post-operative wards providing free treatment as well as under various insurance schemes.

Academically, both undergraduates and postgraduates receive adequate and accurate training opportunities in this department. For the benefit of the students, we also have separate demonstration rooms and a separate library and conference halls. We also collaborate with other departments like Nephrology, Pathology, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Radiology in organizing various CMEs and discussion programmes for the benefit of the students.
