Guest Lecture on “Way to Accreditation: NABL” and “Tackling AMR with Topical Antimicrobial Agent – Aiding Clinicians.”

On February 2nd, 2024, a guest lecture featuring two highly informative sessions took place, enriching attendees with valuable knowledge. The session commenced with a warm welcome from Dr. R. Latha, Vice Principal (Academics) and Professor, Department of Microbiology. Subsequently, Dr. Vikas Gautum, an esteemed guest speaker, was introduced by Dr. Rakesh Sehgal, Dean, of AVMC, setting the stage for an engaging lecture. Dr. Gautum, a Professor in the Department of Medical Microbiology at PGIMER, Chandigarh, delivered an enlightening discourse on the pathway to accreditation, specifically focusing on NABL standards, offering valuable insights and guidance.

Dr. Rakesh Sehgal, Dr. K. Kavitha, Professor and Head of the Department of Microbiology, and Dr. R. Latha, Vice Principal (Academics), honoured the guest speaker. In the subsequent session, Dr. R. Latha warmly welcomed the attendees, followed by insightful opening remarks from Dr. Rakesh Sehgal regarding the expansive scope of the topic. Dr. K. Kavitha introduced the chief guest, and an insightful talk on “Tackling AMR with Topical Antimicrobial Agents – Aiding Clinicians” was delivered. Dr. Pramodhini, Professor, Department of Microbiology, expressed gratitude to all participants and contributors in her vote of thanks, concluding the event with the National Anthem.
