PG coordinator of AVMCH conducts Research Methodology and protocol writing on Good Clinic and Good Laboratory Practices for 1st year PG’s 2023-2024 batch from 7th to 9th February 2024 between 8;30 AM and 4:30 PM at Smt. Annapoorani Shanmugasundaram Mini Auditorium. The program was structured over three days, focusing on various aspects of research methodology and ethics.

Day 1 commenced with an inauguration, followed by sessions led by experts like Dr. B. Vishnu Bhat and Nishad Plakkal, covering topics such as selecting a research topic, framing research questions, and conducting literature research.

Day 2 delved into study designs, with sessions by Dr. J. Arun Daniel, Dr. Vijayaprasad Gopichandran, and Dr. K. Kavitha, addressing observational and experimental study designs, sampling techniques, data collection methods, and basic statistics.

Day 3 emphasized ethical considerations in research, featuring discussions on human ethics, informed consent, monitoring adverse events, clinical trials, and regulatory frameworks. The sessions also covered aspects like Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), documentation, quality assurance, and animal research. The program concluded with a valedictory function.
