The baby shower is to celebrate and honour an expectant mother and her upcoming arrival of a new baby. It is held during the last trimester of pregnancy to celebrate the pregnancy, support the part to be, build a sense of community and so on. The Social baby shower ceremony was organized by the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology on 19.06.2023 for antenatal mothers booked in our hospital. The social ceremony of Nalangu and bangles ceremony, part of baby showers was performed by all the doctors and nurses for all our 10 antenatal mothers. Antenatal patients and their relatives attended the function and made it a grand success. Dr. P.F. Kotur, Provost, Dr.Rakesh Sehgal, Dean, Dr.Satish Korah Kuruvila, Medical Superintendent, Dr. K. Jayasingh, Director, Outreach Services & Hospital Growth presided over the function and addressed the gathering. The event was managed by a team of Staff nurses and the Nursing Department, AVMC&H.
