Become a Hero – First Responders Training program in Basic Life support and First Aid

The Skills Lab and Simulation Centre at AVMC, Puducherry, are committed to enhancing safety by providing comprehensive training for first responders in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid. Understanding the paramount importance of safety and security in society, our mission is clear: to ensure swift and effective responses during crises, thereby protecting the lives and well-being of our citizens.

Under our Safe City campaign, we offered a tailored training program designed specifically for First Responders. This program is meticulously designed to equip participants with the necessary skills to act decisively in emergencies. Covering a diverse range of topics such as CPR, AED usage, haemorrhage control, and safe victim transfer, our courses are led by experienced instructors. Through a blend of hands-on practice and interactive learning, our training sessions aim to instil confidence and preparedness in participants to handle real-life emergencies with competence and assurance.

Our efforts are further supported by esteemed partners who share our dedication to safety and well-being. The Rotary Club of Madras and Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation – Our University, Chennai, provide invaluable support to our cause. MIOT Hospitals, Chennai, serves as our primary sponsor, strengthening our endeavour to empower first responders. Additionally, collaborations with Laerdal India and the American Heart Association enrich our training programs with their expertise. We are grateful to the Puducherry Police Department, National Service Scheme (NSS), and National Cadet Corps (NCC) for their unwavering commitment to our shared goal of fostering a safer community.
