The ten days Foundation Course on Palliative Medicine started on 11th July 2022 and till 20th July 2022. The course started with an inaugural function by Prof P.F. Kotur, the Dean AVMC, followed by an introduction to the resource persons Dr Shoba Nair and Dr Meenakshi.
Padmashree Dr MR Rajagopal, Founder, Pallium India, inaugurated a palliative care unit on our campus. Mr Suresh Samuel, Board of members, VMRF – DU, Dr P.K. Sudhir, Honourable Vice-chancellor, VMRF, Prof. P.F. Kotur, Dean, AVMC, Dr Vishnu Bhat, Director (Research), AVMC and Dr K. Jayasingh, Medical Superintendent, AVMC, graced the occasion.
Dr Jayasingh, the Medical Superintendent, gave the welcome address. Prof. P. F. Kotur proposed the presidential address where certificates were issued to all 29 participants, and the resource persons were honoured. FCPM organising secretary Dr Suresh Rajkumar delivered the vote of thanks.
