Integrating high-end surgical procedures with community outreach and dedicated geriatric care, we ensure stable fixation and early restoration of function for all age groups.
The Department of Orthopaedics was Established in 2000 and has grown into a high-volume clinical unit. We routinely perform Total Hip replacements, Total Knee replacements, and complex arthroscopic reconstructive surgeries of the knee and shoulder. We cater to numerous patients through various insurance schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme, fulfilling our institutional commitment to the community.
Our postgraduate program admits 9 residents annually, with an expansion to 12 expected soon. The curriculum includes regular skill lab demonstrations, anatomy dissection sessions, and a rigorous teaching schedule featuring case presentations and journal clubs. Currently, 19 postgraduates are pursuing research under various advanced orthopedic topics, ensuring a strong academic culture.
Our specialized Geriatric Orthopaedic Care includes free monthly Bone Mineral Density (BMD) camps to assess bone strength and prevent osteoporosis-related fragility fractures in the aging community.
We maintain dedicated orthopedic surgical intensive care for high-risk patients, supported by a multidisciplinary team of anesthetists, cardiologists, and neurosurgeons.
