It serves as a bridge between students and the administration, facilitating communication, representing student interests, and encouraging participation in academic, cultural, sports, social, and welfare activities. The Student Council promotes student leadership, teamwork, responsibility, inclusivity, and a sense of belonging, empowering students to contribute meaningfully to the AVMC community.
ECO Club
The ECO Club of Aarupadai Veedu Medical College (AVMC) promotes environmental awareness, sustainability, and responsible citizenship among students and staff. Through activities such as tree plantation drives, campus cleanliness campaigns, waste segregation, plastic-free initiatives, water and energy conservation, and awareness programmes, the club encourages the AVMC community to adopt eco-friendly practices. The ECO Club aims to foster a culture of environmental responsibility and contribute towards creating a clean, green, sustainable, and healthy campus.
NEP Club
The NEP Club at Aarupadai Veedu Medical College (AVMC) is a student-driven initiative that promotes the vision and objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) through innovative learning, skill development, critical thinking, multidisciplinary education, and experiential learning. The club is supported by NEP Saarthis, student representatives who act as ambassadors of the NEP, creating awareness and encouraging fellow students to actively participate in initiatives aligned with the principles of holistic and learner-centred education. Through various academic, co-curricular, and student engagement activities, the club fosters creativity, leadership, innovation, and the overall development of students.

Hostels
AVMC provides a safe, supportive, and well-structured residential environment through its eight hostels, accommodating undergraduate, postgraduate, CRMI, and married postgraduate students. The hostel administration is headed by the Dean and supported by the Chief Warden, Wardens, Deputy Wardens, and Supervisors. Faculty members serving as Wardens are directly responsible for the students in their respective hostels, interacting with them regularly, monitoring their well-being, providing guidance and counselling when required, and maintaining coordination with parents, the Student Welfare Office, and student advisors.
International Academic Observership Opportunities
Through the International Cell of Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (VMRF), AVMC facilitates short-term international observership opportunities for its undergraduate students at overseas institutions, enabling them to gain global perspectives and experience diverse healthcare and medical education systems. At the same time, international students from overseas institutions can undertake short-term observerships at AVMC, providing them with an opportunity to experience clinical practice, medical education, and healthcare delivery in India. These initiatives promote international collaboration, cross-cultural learning, and global engagement among students and institutions.
Faculty Dine-In Duty
Faculty members are assigned dine-in duties as per the instructions of the Anti-Ragging Cell to ensure a safe, inclusive, and harmonious dining environment for students. The presence of faculty members also facilitates regular interaction with students, helps in the early identification and prevention of ragging or inappropriate behaviour, and ensures a continuous quality check of food, hygiene, cleanliness, and other facilities in the dining area.
