Faculty Development Programme

FAIMER Course Training

AVMCH supports faculty participation in FAIMER — the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research — to build world-class medical education leaders on campus.

About FAIMER

FAIMER promotes excellence in health professions education worldwide. Its fellowship programmes develop educators who can lead curriculum reform, faculty development, and educational research. At AVMCH, FAIMER course training strengthens the Medical Education Unit's capacity to sustain CBME and NMC-aligned academic quality.

  • AVMCH faculty participate in FAIMER-aligned training through regional institutes such as PSG-FAIMER Regional Institute (PSG-FRI).
  • FAIMER-trained faculty contribute to MEU workshops, departmental CBME rollout, and mentor–mentee academic support.
  • The programme complements BCME and ACME by preparing educators who can train other faculty at scale.
  • Department leaders with FAIMER credentials strengthen quality assurance in teaching, assessment, and research mentoring.
