What are we aiming at?
That’s the question our Founder Chancellor, Dr. A. Shanmugasundaram, asked at the beginning.
His answer: The encouragement of research and the advancement of individual scholars, who by their excellence will advance medicine and the communities they serve. He believed that teaching and research go hand in hand, and that a modern medical college must excel in both while sharing discoveries to improve lives.
