The MBBS program at Aarupadai Veedu Medical College & Hospital (AVMCH) is a comprehensive undergraduate medical education spanning 4.5 Years of academic training followed by a 1-year Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI). Established in 2000 under Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University), AVMCH is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and accredited by NAAC.

The curriculum follows the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) framework introduced by NMC, integrating early clinical exposure, longitudinal programs like AETCOM (Attitude, Ethics, and Communication), and a Foundation Course to orient students to the medical profession from Day 1.

Students train at the attached 1075+ bed multi-speciality teaching hospital located on the Puducherry–Cuddalore Main Road, gaining clinical exposure across 20+ departments with round-the-clock emergency, trauma care, diagnostic, and therapeutic services.
