Dr. R. Latha is a Professor and Head of the Department of Microbiology and Vice Dean (Academic & Digitalisation) at Aarupadai Veedu Medical College and Hospital. She has 16 years of teaching experience for undergraduate, postgraduate, nursing, and allied health science students, and serves as a guide for MD and PhD students in Microbiology and Molecular Biology. She is co-principal investigator in a DBT-sponsored INDO-UK project on antimicrobial resistance burden with a budget of Rs. 25.54 lakhs. She has expertise in molecular diagnostic technologies and NABL-certified quality management systems.
