Anti-Ragging Squad - Constitution (2025)

The Anti-Ragging Squad of Aarupadai Veedu Medical College & Hospital has been reconstituted to ensure a safe, respectful, and ragging-free environment for all students.

The squad includes senior administrative staff, faculty members, wardens, and support personnel who monitor discipline and student welfare across the campus.

Objective

To prevent ragging in all forms and establish a secure and supportive environment, especially for freshers, with strict compliance to anti-ragging regulations.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Follow a structured duty roster for continuous campus monitoring.
  • Maintain vigilance and remain approachable to both seniors and freshers.
  • Identify and track vulnerable locations with higher ragging risk.
  • Conduct surprise inspections in hostels, common rooms, transport, and odd hours.
  • Perform discreet enquiries and anonymous surveys for unreported incidents.
  • Monitor freshers for distress, injuries, or unusual behaviour.
  • Escalate infrastructure concerns that may facilitate ragging.
  • Investigate incidents and report findings to the Anti-Ragging Committee.
  • Report confirmed cases to the Head of Institution for immediate action.
  • Maintain proper records of inspections, findings, and actions taken.
