V-CONNECT Alumni Meet 2025
The V-CONNECT Alumni Meet 2025 was organized as a platform to reconnect alumni from various batches, strengthen institutional relationships, and create opportunities for professional networking and collaborative engagement. The meet brought together a large number of alumni from different disciplines, along with faculty, students, and distinguished dignitaries from Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation. The event was led by Dr. Ramesh Krishnan, Director of Alumni Relations & Placements, AVMRFDU. Inaugural proceedings included an invocation, lighting of lamp, welcome address, and addresses by Heads of Institutions including Dr. R. Mani, Dean, AVMCH.
AVMCH Alumni Meet 2025
The AVMCH Alumni Meet 2025 brought together past and present students, faculty, and distinguished dignitaries to reconnect, reflect, and recognize alumni milestones. The programme was graced by Chancellor Dr. A.S. Ganesan, Vice President Dr. Anuradha Ganesan, and Dean Dr. R. Mani. Cash rewards were conferred upon alumni who pursued higher studies, with Dr. T. Rajan, Vice Dean (Admin & Events) leading the recognition ceremony. UG and PG alumni delivered speeches sharing their journeys, fostering pride and camaraderie in the institution's legacy of medical excellence.
Onam Celebration
Organised jointly by the AVMCH Alumni Association and Students' Council, hosted by the Batch of 2022-23. The event celebrated Kerala's cultural heritage through inclusive student and faculty participation, fostering inter-batch camaraderie. The programme began with traditional Pooja at 9:00 AM and concluded successfully, setting a benchmark for future cultural celebrations at AVMCH.
Insights from Alumni - Guest Lecture: Emerging & Re-Emerging Infections
The Department of Microbiology, in collaboration with the AVMCH Alumni Association, organised a guest lecture under the series "Insights from Alumni." Dr. Deepika I (MD, Tutor, Dept. of Microbiology, Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Cuddalore) delivered a lecture on emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. The event was welcomed by Dr. K. Kavitha (HoD, Microbiology) and addressed by Dr. K. Dhamodharan, MS. The speaker was felicitated with a certificate and memento, concluding with the National Anthem.
Alumni Series Guest Lecture - Physiology of Learning & Memory
The Department of Physiology in association with AVMCH Alumni Association organised the first-ever alumni guest lecture at Vinayaka Mission's Puducherry Campus. Dr. Jeneth Berlin Raj (Batch 2001-02, Professor & Vice Principal, Arunai Medical College, Tiruvannamalai) delivered a 90-minute interactive lecture on "Physiology of Learning and Memory," with pre- and post-tests enhancing student engagement. He was welcomed by President Dr. Ilankathir and felicitated by Dean Dr. Rakesh Sehgal.

National Voluntary Blood Donation Day Competitions
Organised by the Department of Pathology in association with the Alumni Association. A total of 140 students from MBBS, BPT, Nursing, and SAHS participated in Essay Writing, Drawing, and Short Film competitions. Dr. Dhamodharan, Medical Superintendent, gave the inaugural address. Prize distribution was sponsored by the Alumni Association and led by Dr. Ilankathir (President), Dr. Meganathan, and Dr. Jeyashambavi.
Alumni-Student Networking Programme
Organised by the Alumni Association, Students' Council, and Career Guidance Cell. Over 40 alumni and delegates attended, spearheaded by Dr. R. Jawahar (HoD Pathology, Batch 2001-02). President Dr. Ilankathir delivered the welcome address. Alumni provided career guidance and the TORNADOS batch (2001-02) gifted a water cooler as a lasting token of affection to the college.
