Dr. G. Premkumar

Dr. G. Premkumar is a distinguished Professor of Internal Medicine who graduated from Madurai Medical College. He initially worked at Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences and joined AVMCH in July 2023. His professional interests are focused on Infectious Diseases and Rheumatology.

He is an excellent academician and clinician. He has been serving as Deputy Medical Superintendent (DMS) since February 2025, overseeing outpatient and inpatient services and the Medical Records Department (MRD).

Dr. Premkumar has numerous publications in national and international journals. His research focus includes infectious disease, critical care, and non-communicable diseases. He has also been a speaker and delivered several guest lectures at medical colleges in and around Puducherry, sharing his expertise with students and fellow professionals.
