Dr. A.S. Ganesan is a distinguished leader whose journey from the esteemed halls of Madras Medical College to his current roles as Chancellor of Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation (VMRF) and Managing Director of Vinayaka Medical Care Centre Private Ltd. epitomises dedication, vision, and a commitment to societal progress.

The Chennai Campus has become a hub of innovation under Dr. Ganesan's leadership, housing the newly established School of Economics and Public Policy and Law School, and actively promoting interdisciplinary studies.

Dr. Ganesan holds the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), reflecting his global standing and commitment to excellence in healthcare and education.

He is a strong advocate for innovation and entrepreneurship and founded the Ganesan Incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre (GIEC), a Section 8 company, at Vinayaka Mission's Chennai Campus. GIEC has incubated more than 25 startups.

His initiatives in faculty development, sustainability, and digital transformation further illustrate his holistic approach to leadership.

Dr. Ganesan's efforts in advancing research at VMRF have resulted in a robust ecosystem featuring research labs, clinical trial centres, publications, patents, incubation support, and externally funded projects.

Under his guidance, VMRF has forged international collaborations with institutions including Ohio University, Seattle University, York University, and Oakland University.

The university's private collaboration in establishing the Distributed Cancer Care Network (DCCN) in Puducherry and Salem demonstrates commitment to AI-enabled detection, diagnosis, and treatment solutions in cancer care.

Beyond professional achievements, Dr. Ganesan is deeply committed to community service, expanding healthcare access through rural centres and health awareness camps, including a Rs. 4 Crore donation for a community hall in Paiyanoor and active participation in CLEAN INDIA-SWACH BHARAT.

Dr. Ganesan lives in Chennai with his wife, Dr. Anuradha Ganesan, Vice President, VMRF. They are proud parents of two children.
