On September 29, 2023, the Department of Cardiology at AVMC, Puducherry, organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on the occasion of World Heart Day. The program was held at the New Auditorium Lecture Hall and was attended by 38 faculties and 84 students from our institution.
The program was inaugurated by Dr Jagan N Hanumanthu, Professor & HOD, Cardiology, AVMC, who welcomed the participants and introduced the speakers.
The first lecture was delivered by Dr G Rengaraj, Associate Professor, who spoke on “Management of stable CAD”. The second lecture was given by Dr G Anandsekar, Associate Professor, who delved into the “Management of resistant hypertension”. The third lecture was presented by Dr M Rajesh, Assistant Professor, who shared his insights on “Updates in the management of heart failure”.
The program also included an interactive quiz for the UG students, hosted by Dr Jagan N Hanumanthu. The quiz tested the student’s knowledge of various aspects of cardiology and rewarded the winners with prizes.
