On the 18th of October, 2023, a cheerful event took place at AVMC that marked the beginning of a new chapter for 150 first-year MBBS students of AVMC at Smt. Annapoorani Mini Auditorium. The White Coat Ceremony is an event for welcoming the new medical student into the medical profession. The White Coat was presented to the students symbolizing professionalism, empathy, and importance.
During the ceremony, the students recited an oath that emphasized the commitment to ethical and compassionate patient care. This is a memorable occasion inspiring a sense of pride and responsibility towards becoming a healthcare professional. Dr Raja J Selvaraj, Prof & HOD, Cardiology of Jipmer presided over the function and expressed the importance of being a doctor.
