The Department of Paediatrics organised a Health Screening Programme for the children of employees belonging to the Vinyaka Missions Group of Institutes at Aarupadai Veedu Medical College Campus in Kirumampakkam, Puducherry, held on 27th and 28th of May 2024, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Employees from various institutions under the Vinyaka Mission, including Aarupadai Veedu Medical College and Hospital, Vinayaka Missions College of Nursing, Vinayaka Missions School of Allied Health Sciences, Vinayaka Missions School of Behavioural Sciences, and School of Physiotherapy, were invited to bring their children. A total of 32 children from the programme. The Health Screening Programme encompassed routine health checkups, including Anthropometric Measurements, Nutritional Assessment, and Dietary Counselling. Additionally, specialized services such as ENT, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, and Gynaecology were provided with support from the respective departments. Clinical findings were meticulously recorded in health cards to facilitate follow-up care. To express gratitude, the children were given tokens of appreciation, including chocolates, drawing books, and colour crayons.
