The Interns orientation and training program part II “ Essential skills for CRRI’s for the batch 2022 -2023 was conducted by Dean HPE on the 17th and 18th of May. The program was coordinated by CRMI at Smt. Annapoorani Shanmuga Sundaram, Mini Auditorium. Dr. P.F. Kotur Dean, AVMC gave the inauguration and Dean’s address. Dr. V.N. Mahalakshmi spoke about “why errors occur in the health care system and how to prevent them. Dr. Jaysingh Medical Superintendent, AVMC addressed on Principles of written communication whereas Dr. Pushpa Kotur spoke about PRinciples of Verbal communication. FM Team discussed on topic Medical-Legal issues in practices and Feedback on the day’s events by Team MEU. Dr. Deepa Shanmugam CRRI coordinator gave reports. Dr. Manju HOD Biochemistry and Dr. Jawahar HOD Pathology insisted on the topic “Rational considerations before you order the diagnostic test. Rational prescription of drugs was narrated by Dr. Vishnu Bhat Director, Medical Research, AVMC. Group work for diagnostic tests and prescription writing by course faculty. Dr. P.F. Kotur expressed the principles of ethics and professionalism in medical practice. Valedictory and feedback from participants were done by the MEU team.
