The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Aarupadai Veedu Medical College organized the National PG Rapid Revision Course IGNITE 2023 on April 29th and 30th, 2023, at the Smt. Annapoorani Shanmugasundram Mini Auditorium. The event commenced with a warm welcome from Dr. S. Deepa, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting and an address by Prof. P. F. Kotur, the Dean of AVMC. Distinguished administrators, including Dr Vishnu Bhat, Dr V. N. Mahalakshmi, Dr K. Jayasingh, and Dr Satish Korah Kuruvila, were also present. The program featured scientific sessions, lectures on Solo Taxonomy, case presentations by postgraduates, scenario discussions, demonstrations on pelvic organ prolapse, and viva sessions on CTG, all facilitated by renowned professors and experts from various medical colleges. The two-day event saw the active participation of 81 postgraduates from medical colleges across South India, who benefited from the enriching academic sessions and interactions with experienced resource persons. The program concluded with a valedictory session, where feedback was shared, and gratitude expressed through a vote of thanks. Participants were awarded 5 credit hours by the Tamil Nadu Medical Council, highlighting the program’s significance in advancing academic knowledge and skill development in obstetrics and gynaecology.
