Foundation Course: Stress Management Session

A two hours soft skills training on “Stress and Time Management” was conducted in small groups (maximum of 50 numbers) to the freshers of 2021 – 2022 batch MBBS students from 11.04.2022 to 13.04.2022 between 02.00 pm to 04.00 pm, as part of the foundation course. 

The training was conducted in workshop mode using an activity-based teaching-learning method. The main objective was to enable the students to understand the meaning, nature, types, sources, effects of stress on body, mind, behaviour, and emotions; the difference between positive and negative stress, and ways of handling them through stress busters and time schedule.

Stress is part and parcel of life and learning effective ways to deal with it helps us to live a peaceful life. Since COVID 19 Pandemic itself is acute stress that changed the lifestyle of many in this world, the students actively participated in exchanging their experiences about their stress. The feedback indicated (23/25) that the training was very useful for the students’ personal and academic progress.
