Iam Dr.John Dinesh. I completed my MBBS from Rajah Muthiah medical college & Hospital, Annamalai University ,Chidambaram. and passed MD Psychiatry in first class from Mahatma Gandhi medical college and research institute which was then under Pondicherry university. At present, I am working as professor & HOD in the Department of Psychiatry , Aarupadai Veedu Medical College and Hospital, Pondicherry. I have attended almost all psychiatric conferences at state, zonal and national level in India. I have attended two international conferences, international congress of Royal college of psychiatrists at London in 2016 and world schizophrenia congress at pittsburg,Russia in 2018. I have published case reports and original research articles in indexed national journals. I have chaired sessions in conferences and have been a resource person in psychiatric CME programs, consultation liaison meetings , academic programs conducted by IMA,Puducherry state branch. I have been teaching undergraduates students past 14 years and postgraduate students past 6 years .I have been guiding MBBS Students for doing ICMR and short research projects and MD dissertation for PG students . My research interests include substance use disorders , multiple unexplained somatic symptoms in depression and caregiver burden in severe mental illness, Mood and Anxiety disorders.As a part of patient care services , I started a Non-profit community service oriented NGO “Pondicherry mental health foundation” and have conducted numerous mental health screening camps in and around Pondicherry and few villages of tamilnadu issuing free medications to the needy people.I Have given radio talks and television interviews on psychological well-being, anger management , stress management , career guidance, suicide prevention severe mental illnesses, stigma and mental illness in local and regional channels.

I have completed my UG from PSGIMS&R ,Coimbatore and did PG training in Institute of Mental Health ,Chennai. Iam currently working as Associate professor in the Dept of Psychiatry ,AVMCH. I have guided UG student for ICMR Project. I have presented paper in State Conference and have received best scientific paper award (Dr.Peter Fernandez Award). I have participated as Guest Speaker in CSR Initiative by Suriyan FM on “Child Abuse Sexual Awareness”. I have attended various regional and state conferences. I have experience of Teaching UG and PG students .my areas of interest include Mood Disorders, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry & Community Psychiatry

I have presented a paper and have been awarded Young Scientist (First Runner Up) at the International Postgraduate Colloquium on Current Opinions in Medical Sciences conducted by Faculty of Medicine, AIMST University, Kedah, Malaysia. My area of interests in research includes personality disorders, stigma and burden associated with mental illness. I have experience in UG and PG teaching and have been guiding MD dissertation projects of PG students

Dr.D.Felex Maree Angelo,completed an Undergraduate degree from Indira Gandhi Medical College and Research Center, Puducherry and a Postgraduate degree in Psychiatry in Govt. Stanley Medical College and Hospital , Chennai, Tamil Nadu. I worked as a Senior Resident for 10 months at Govt. Stanley Medical College and Hospital , Chennai, Tamil Nadu . At present, I am working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry in Aarupadai Veedu Medical College and Hospital, Puducherry. Deaddiction Psychiatry is my field of interest. I have attended many state-level and zonal-level conferences and workshops and have published papers in national and international, open access journals.

At present, I am working as Senior resident in the Department of Psychiatry , Aarupadai Veedu Medical College and Hospital, Pondicherry. I have attended various psychiatric conferences at state, zonal and state level in India. I have presented and won the best poster presentation award in zonal CME. I have published article in indexed national journals. My research interests include substance use disorders , medication non-adherence and child psychiatry.
