Being a MBBS academic coordinator, we involve ourselves in dealing large group, small group teaching, Early Clinical Exposure and Integrated teaching for first year MBBS students and also Basic science teaching for Postgraduates. We Involve in research activities like inter & Intra departmental proposals, funded projects and ICMR/STS students projects.We involve in performing Nerve conduction studies and Autonomic function testing in our well-equipped Center for Clinical physiology Laboratory as a part of patient care service

She did graduation and post-graduation in Physiology from renowned medical Institutions like Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi in 1990 and Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER),Pondicherry in 1999 respectively.As Vice Principal-Student Affairs she is proactive in enhancing student’s learning environment. She was also involved in creating awareness about gender equality at work place and rights for women during her official assignment as Presiding officer of Internal Complaints Committee and Member Secretary of Women Empowerment cell.She has co-authored a book in her speciality with her Mentor, Dr Madan Mohan Trakroo.She is also Member, Board of Studies, External expert - Research Advisory committee and Examiner in various Universities. Dr. Franc Oumanath completed his MBBS from Pondicherry Institute of Medical Science, Pondicherry (2004-2010) and completed his MD Physiology in Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal (2013-2016). He has completed Basic course in Biomedical Research Sponsored by ICMR and National Institute of Epidemiology (NIE) and a certificate course on Communication Skills for Healthcare professionals, AIMST University, Malaysia. He is working as Assistant Professor.

Her doctorate work is in the field of Autonomic physiology and Endocrine physiology.She is serving in this institute more than ten years with fullest dedicationshe has got more than a decade of post PG teaching experience for medical students. she has been actively involved in teaching, co-ordination, planning and efficient execution of imparting physiology teaching to undergraduates.

Dr. Susmita Mahapatra Nee Bhattacherya : She did her Graduation & Postgraduation in Human Physiology from University of Calcutta, West Bengal in the year 1987 and 1989 respectively. She also got awarded for her Ph.D. degree in Human Physiology from thesame prestigious University of Calcutta.She worked as a guest faculty in the department of life sciences in Pondicherry University from August 2000 to October 2002, Shealso worked as a lecturer in Physiology in MGMC & RI, Pondicherry from 17.10.2002 to 05.01.2004. She has various publications in well reputed NationalJournals. She has experience in carrying out exercise physiology studies, which includes VO2 max estimation using Treadmill, Bicycle and step stool, gas analysis in Scholander Gas analyzer, Pulmonary function test and Anthropometry. As CME Coordinator she has been successfully coordinating Academic Activities of AVMC & H like, CME, Workshop, Guest Lecture, Conference etc. for more than 6 years.

Done her Under graduation from Sri Venkateshwara medical college, Puducherry and Postgraduation in Physiology from JIPMER, one of the renowned institutes in the country. She worked as Senior resident in JIPMER for almost 3 years and she has been serving this institute for the past one year. She has also completed her Revised basic course workshop (RBCW). She is the member of national association bodies for Physiology.
