EXTENSION ACTIVITIES:

The department of DVL regularly participates in community health camps organized by the institute and provides free treatment for common skin ailments.  Patients identified for investigations and advanced treatment are referred to the dermatology OPD for further swift management.

OUTREACH ACTIVITIES:

Every year the department of DVL conducts awareness programmes about common skin diseases.  These awareness programmes are conducted to commemorate World Vitiligo Day, World Psoriasis Day, and World Leprosy day.  The programmes are directed at the general public, and under-graduate MBBS and medical allied health students.  Awareness speech, quiz competitions and poster presentations are also conducted. The awareness speech is delivered in the local language and with the use of audio-visual aids for a better reach of the message.
