Student Support Activities
Curricular activities

The department gives utmost importance to improving teaching-learning activities and encouraging interactive learning by adopting innovative video-based interactive sessions and problem-based learning (PBL). We conduct formative assessments on a regular basis followed by individual feedback which helps the students get an insight into their strong and weak points with respect to their learning. Mentor-mentee sessions are conducted regularly. Special classes are offered for advanced learners to participate in state level and national level quiz competitions. Extra classes and tests for slow learners are also conducted.

Co-curricular activities

Our department encourages the students to involve in co-curricular activities by conducting model making competitions on topics related to the subject.

Research

The faculty of our department encourage and guide UG(MBBS) students for ICMR-STS projects and other non-funded projects. They also guide many PG students for their thesis and other projects. They encourage the students to present their research work as oral presentations or posters at various state and national conferences. They help the students publish their research work in journals.

Wellbeing of students

Students’ well-being is given prime importance by our department. Arranging yoga sessions, stress and time management sessions, arranging for basic vaccination (Hep B), and arranging health checkups for students are some of the measures in this direction.
