A CME & Workshop on “Prenatal Diagnostics – Role of Ultrasound” was organized by the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Aarupadai Veedu Medical College & Hospital on 13.09.2023 at Smt. Annapoorani Mini Auditorium. Dr. Rajeevi Madhakumar, Visiting International Faculty of VMRF, enlightened participants on the role of ultrasound in diagnosing fetal genetic abnormalities and the importance of prenatal screening. The event began with a welcome address by Dr. S. Deepa, followed by speeches from Dr. Rakesh Sehgal and Dr. R. Sasikala. Dr. K. Damodaran also graced the occasion.
The scientific lectures on “Basics of First Trimester Ultrasound” and “Screening for Aneuploidy” were highly interactive, engaging postgraduates actively. In the afternoon, Dr. Rajeevi Madhakumar conducted a workshop on first and second trimester ultrasound for postgraduates. The session was chaired by Dr. Alka Sehgal and Dr. Prema Priya. The program concluded with a feedback session.
