On August 31, 2024, the Department of Pathology hosted a CME titled “Unraveling the Mysteries of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus – A Multidisciplinary Approach” at the New Auditorium Lecture Hall, AVMC&H. The event, held from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, brought together esteemed experts and participants to explore various aspects of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). The day began with an inauguration and continued with insightful presentations from distinguished speakers, including Dr. Venkatesh A., MD (Pead), DM (Nephro), Assistant Professor, AVMCH; Dr. Sheela Kuruvila, MD (Derm), Professor and HOD, AVMCH; and Dr. Niraimathi, MD (Path), PDCC (Renal & Transplant Pathology, SGPGI). Topics covered included advanced renal care in lupus nephritis, cutaneous manifestations of SLE, and pathological perspectives on SLE.
The CME also featured an engaging e-Poster presentation session and concluded with a prize distribution and a vote of thanks. The event was marked by active participation and valuable discussions, significantly enhancing understanding and management of SLE.
