The M.Sc., Medical Biotechnology program is a two-year postgraduate course that provides students with in-depth knowledge and practical training in the field of medical biotechnology. This medical biotechnology masters program is a choice-based credit system (CBCS) to support the new type of training where mentoring and tutoring with active research is an integral part of the academic life and learning experience of a student. Some of the salient features of M.Sc., Medical Biotechnology program are:

Eligibility

1. 17 years of age at the time of admission.
2. A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in the science stream (with Biology/ Botany/ Zoology) in the qualifying examination (10+2 years).

• Basic foundation & multidisciplinary training will help the students to choose their higher education & research in the field of advanced molecular technology & diagnostics.
• As Research associates & research scientists in the industries like Pharmaceutical & scientific companies, Medical Biotechnology Industries, Life science industries, and startups.
• As a medical technologist/assistant at various medical centres (or) technical manager in NABL accredited labs.
• As a Bio-entrepreneur: VMRF will provide all basic support in establishing start-ups in Dr. Ganesan Incubation Centre (GIEC), especially for students.
