World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated from August 1 to August 7 to raise awareness about the importance of breastfeeding for both infants and mothers. The week aims to promote and support breastfeeding as a crucial aspect of maternal and child health. As one weekly program, the Department of Paediatrics organises various activities like Quiz competitions, and poster presentations by PGs, UGs, and nursing students. Breastfeeding awareness is created in PST Centres, Post Natal Ward (AVMC). They also conduct CME cum Lactation consumption Workshops.
