On August 30, 2024, AVMCH hosted a heartwarming baby shower event for 31 expectant mothers. The event was organized by the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department in collaboration with the Hospital Growth and Outreach Services. It celebrated the mothers-to-be and highlighted the hospital’s commitment to supporting maternal and infant health.
AVMCH is proud to be part of the Tamil Nadu Muthulakshmi Maternity Benefit Scheme, which provides substantial support of ₹18,000 to eligible mothers. This scheme, combined with ₹10,000 from the Annai Annapoorani Scheme, ensures that ANC mothers delivering at AVMCH receive comprehensive and safe maternal care.
The Valaiyal Kaapu function was a notable occasion, presided over by distinguished guests, including Dean Dr. Rakesh Siegal, Dean HPE Dr. V.N. Mahalakshmi, Dr. K. Jayasingh, Director of Hospital Growth and Outreach Services, Medical Superintendent Dr. Satish Korah Kuruvilla, and Dr. Deepa, Professor and HOD of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Their presence underscored the hospital’s dedication to maternal health and the support provided through these vital schemes.
The event not only celebrated the upcoming births but also emphasized the importance of community and institutional support in ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for both mothers and their babies.
