In light of recent events concerning the safety and well-being of healthcare professionals across the nation, the administrators, faculty, staff, residents, and medical students of AVMC, stand in unwavering solidarity with our colleagues who are currently on strike.
Healthcare workers have been the backbone of our society, especially during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic. It is imperative that our rights, safety, and well-being are prioritized. We join hands with the larger medical community in calling for immediate action to ensure that healthcare professionals can continue to serve society without fear or threat to their personal safety.
As a demonstration of our support, a ‘Silent March’ was conducted on 19th August 2024 at 4.00 pm to express our commitment to the cause championed by the striking medicos and the Indian Medical Association (IMA). The march highlighted the urgent need for enhanced safety measures and a secure working environment for all healthcare professionals. This march is a peaceful and silent demonstration of our collective resolve to advocate for these necessary changes.
