7th March: International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day is celebrated to honour women’s social, cultural, economic, and political achievements. It is a day to recognise women’s contributions to society despite gender equality. This day is observed to raise awareness of the challenges women face worldwide. International Women’s Day is to celebrate the achievements of the work and recognise their contribution to society. To honour the women working at Aarupadai Veedu Medical College and Hospital, the Women Empowerment Cell of AVMC organised a Women’s Day Celebration on 07.03.2023 at Smt. Annapoorani Multipurpose Hall.  Ms Kadambari, Founder of the Women Entrepreneurship Development Organization (WEDO) was the Chief guest.
Dr. P.F. Kotur, Dean, AVMC, graced the function.  Dr. Pushpa Kotur, President WEC, and Dr. Lakshmi Jatiya, Member Secretary, WEC organised the function.  Essay competition, Painting competition, Debate, Ramp Walk, Cultural Events, Rangoli competition was held for the students and staff of AVMC and prizes were awarded.
