78th Independence Day Celebrations at Vinayaka Mission’s Puducherry campus

On August 15, 2024, Vinayaka Mission’s Puducherry campus proudly observed India’s 78th Independence Day with a formal and inspiring ceremony. It was hosted by Miss Anushka Chavan, 1st Year MBBS, and Miss Pavithra P, 1st Year B.Sc. Nursing. The event commenced with the assembly of students, faculty, and staff at the Vinayaka Mission’s Puducherry campus ground at 7:45 AM. The function began with a welcome address by Miss J Priyanga, 1st Year MBBS, who set a reflective and patriotic tone for the day’s celebrations.

The central highlight of the event was the hoisting of the Tricolor by Dr. Satish Korah Kuruvila, Medical Superintendent, AVMCH, accompanied by other Heads of Institutions. This was followed by a dignified rendition of the National Anthem, underscoring the essence of national unity and pride. Dr. Satish Korah Kuruvila’s address was a poignant reminder of the values of independence and the role of educational institutions in fostering national progress. Miss Badmapriya A, 1st Year B.Sc. Nursing, delivered an eloquent speech on the significance of Independence Day, bridging historical perspectives with contemporary relevance.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Miss Vaisali V V, 4th Year B.Sc. Nursing, who expressed gratitude to all participants and organizers.
