21 Jan: Cadaveric Workshop

A cadaveric workshop is an educational session commonly where healthcare professionals, surgeons and medical students practice surgical techniques using human cadavers. The cadavers used in workshops are donated for medical research. This helps the participants have a hands-on learning experience.  This workshop was held in AVMC Organised by the Department of Anatomy, Under the Auspices of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound & Pain Society, on 21.01.2023 at the Dissection hall (Anatomy) led by a Team of Ten experienced surgeons in ten different stations.  These surgeons thought on Cervical Spine, Cervicothoracic spine, Lumbosacral Spine, Posterior Pelvis, Hip, Knee, Foot – Ankle, Shoulder, Elbow & Wrist, and Abdomen.  They guided and trained the participants in new surgical techniques. Dr. Anand Murugesan, Organising Chairman, gave the welcome address, Dr. T. Rajan, Organising Secretary explained the Cadaver usage in the workshop. The presential Address was delivered by Dr. P.F. Kotur, Dean, AVMCH, Dr. S. Ilankathir, Organising Chairman gave his vote of thanks
