Revised Basic Course workshop (RBCW) was organised at Aarupadai Veedu Medical College on 13th February 2023 to 15th February 2023 under NMC the Regional Center, Jipmer, Puducherry.
This program was inaugurated by Dr. P.F. Kotur, Dean AVMC, “Ice breaking & Group dynamics, the importance of group dynamics in continuing medical education and MEU activities were briefed.
Various topics were included the systems approach for instructional learning, the concept of CBME, competencies and objectives, the novel techniques of integrated teaching and an introduction to the importance of assessment were discussed.
The workshop was carried on in sessions for RBCW, covering all the topics per the format of the National Medical Commission of India over these three days. NMC-trained facilitators of AVMC conducted these sessions.
Each day started with a summary of the previous day’s sessions. A pre and post-test were given and analysed. Feedback from the sessions was taken, evaluated and discussed with the participants. All the sessions were informative and interactive, with group exercises, hands-on activities, and role plays. The Valedictory function was organised, and course completion certificates were awarded. The program concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the Programme Coordinator
