As per the norms of NMC, Aarupadai Veedu Medical College and Hospital arranged and organized the family Health Adoption Program for MBBS students for the batch of 2021-2022 by the Department of Community Medicine on 11th May 2022. The program arrangements were held at Kalaiarangam, Moorthikupam. The flagship program was inaugurated by Dr. P.F. Kotur, Dean, AVMC. He gave his presidential address and planted the sapling. Dr. D. Arunachalam, HOD community medicine welcomed the dignitaries and the villagers. Dr. Arun Daniel briefed about the family adoption program. He also explained to the villagers the benefits and facilities provided by the AVMCH. Dr. V.N. Mahalakshi, Dean HPE, Dr. Jayasingh Medical Superintendent AVMC, and Dr. Vishnu Bhat Director of Medical Research, gave their addresses in the program. The Panchayat President and village administrators were being honored by the team of community medicine. Dr. Prasad Thirumal gave thanksgiving to the dignitaries who supported the adoption of the Moorthikupam village. The villagers were provided with refreshments. The HODs and faculty of community medicine and various departments attended the function.
