Episode 91 of series 14 was conducted by the Scientifique society on 06.05.2022 through the webinar. Dr. Kavitha Vasudevan HOD, Community Medicine, Indira Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Pondicherry. She explored the topic “ MIXED METHOD RESEARCH IN PUBLIC HEALTH”. Dr. P.F. Kotur, Dean, AVMC gave the Researcher and the participants a welcome address. Dr. Vishnu Bhat, Director of Medical Research, AVMC introduced the Resource person. Dr. V.N. Mahalakshmi Dean HPE, AVMC hosted the webinar session. Dr. Kavitha Vasudevan, information that a single method is not adaptable. Hence, mixed-method research is used to solve the problem by raising questions of what, when, why, whom, where, and how. She explained the qualitative and quantitative methods used for MM research. She clarified the types of Mixed methods design as Convergent Parallel Design, Explanatory Sequential designs, Exploratory Sequential designs, criteria for choosing MM Designs, Stage of integration, Sampling Techniques, Ethical issues in MM, Data college process, Data analysis, data analysis, and integration and challenges in MM. At the end of the session, she clarified the queries of the participants.
