Oral cancer is cancer that affects the Mouth and Throat. It can be developed on any tissue part, including gums, tongue, or lips. Early detection and treatment improve the cases. April of each year is Oral Cancer Awareness Month. This is aimed at creating awareness of Oral Cancer. The Department of Dental conducted a medical camp between 3rd April to 9th April and identified more than 50 patients using tobacco and gave awareness for dental hygiene, and educated them with the knowledge of Oral Cancer symptoms, the importance of early detection, treatment, screening and the so on.
