Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Brief Overview

 

o   The department of obstetrics and gynaecology is committed to contemporary and

 futuristic approach to comprehensive  women's health care including the socio-cultural,

emotional and situational approach with cost effective outlook. .

 

o   The obstetrics division aims at safe foetal and maternal outcome. The labor and delivery

      division is equipped with modern foetal surveillance and critical care equipments

and supported by well-qualified, dedicated medical and paramedical  team to ensure

maternal and fetal well-being.

 

o   The Gynaecology division aims at providing up-to-date, modern and evidence based care. 

Establishment of specialized Infertility Clinic and Genetics Lab are in the process.

o   Provides  training ,familiarisationand encouragement  in PG research methodology

 training

o   The Department is active research activites by UG  PG students and also faculties

 

o   The trainees are provided with ample opportunities to identify common health problems

of women  in the community  at the health camps and field visits  and collaborate and

 coordinate with non- governmental health care provider as an extension  of services

under  the faculties. The departmental academic activity is guided by departmental

 calendar hand book .
